Mick Smoothey
Mick Smoothey graduated from Loughborough University in England in 1989. In 1992, he founded a successful businessin the US, in the youth sports industry, which he grew over 25 years before selling to a public company in 2016. Mick remained at the helm as CEO for three more years, continuing to lead the company through integration and expansion.
In 2021, Mick joined Preferred Financial Partners as Vice President of Operations and Finance. He plays a key role in scaling the firm’s infrastructure and enhancing service delivery across the organization, with a strong focus on operational efficiency, financial oversight, and client experience — all aimed at supporting sustainable growth and delivering exceptional results for clients.
